Ethan Philpott, MD
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Ethan Philpott is a plastic surgeon and also serves as the medical director of Scottsdale Ketamine Clinic. He not only loves to help people look their very best physically, but he also believes health and healing occur holistically. Although medication and traditional therapy are an integral part of healing, he understands that other modalities are beneficial.
During his years of practice, Dr. Philpott became interested in stem cell therapy. He has seen dramatic improvements in people suffering from a variety of diseases that have been treated with stem cells. He has witnessed amazing results from stem cell treatments which have opened his eyes to other non-traditional therapies. This triggered his interest in ketamine infusions and their use to treat depression and chronic pain.
With years of experience in private practice and extensive research into the clinical applications of sub-anesthetic dose Ketamine, Dr. Philpott leads the team at Scottsdale Ketamine Clinic and is also the primary physician responsible for care. In addition to his experience with ketamine, Dr. Philpott is a member of the prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is committed to increasing the quality of life of his patients and utilizing therapies that are evidence-based and backed by studies and science.
Jenice Hughes, CRNA, MS
Board Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
Jenice Hughes has been a board-certified nurse anesthetist since 1997.
Her previous medical experience spans over 40 years and includes critical care, obstetrics, pain management, and anesthesia. The wealth of her expertise comes from hands-on clinical experience in Florida, Arizona, New Mexico, Maine, and Hawaii. She is very active in mission work and has done multiple outreaches in developing countries providing anesthesia and medical care in clinics for the underserved.
As an active member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and the Arizona Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AZANA), Jenice is involved in her professional organizations. She keeps current with new modalities of treatment by attending conferences and hands-on skills workshops. She is an avid proponent of studying current data on the latest publications and research related to her field. Jenice strives to deliver the best, quality, and safe patient-centered care.
Jenice has witnessed first-hand the heartbreak and suffering that people endure with depression, chronic pain, and other illnesses. She has made it her mission is to give her patients hope and the quality of life they seek through ketamine therapy. Ketamine therapy is an alternative approach to treat depression, pain, and stress from chronic ailments. When not helping patients, Jenice enjoys spending time with her husband, 4 kids, and 7 grandchildren. Her hobbies include travel, reading, being a grandmother, and mission work around the world.
Ashley Keener
Nurse Practitioner
Ashley Keener serves as a Nurse Practitioner at the Scottsdale Ketamine Clinic. She is an honors graduate from the prestigious University of Southern California and is board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners since January 2021. She began her career as a registered nurse in 2010 and has continued to advance in knowledge and experience over the years. She is expertly trained in the Neuro ICU and has extensive knowledge about various neurological and medical diagnoses. Additionally, she has extensive training with psychological and mental health disorders and stays up to date with the most current evidence-based research to treat these diagnoses. She is committed to helping the community by serving those who struggle with mental health disorders.
Kara Bobbitt
Registered Nurse
Kara is in her 7th year as a registered nurse. She initially graduated from Phoenix College with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. She continued her education and obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University. She is currently working to obtain a nurse practitioner degree with an emphasis on psychiatry. She works at a critical illness recovery hospital, which gives her the opportunity to expand nursing skills and challenges her critical thinking skill set. She has been working at the Scottsdale Ketamine Clinic for over four years. She states it is her absolute favorite job. She enjoys every one of our patients. She loves the opportunity to work more one on one with patients as well as witness first-hand the positive changes that occur during their treatments.
